With a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, we specialize in creating unique and exquisite homes that reflect our client's individuality.&nbsp; Learn more about us at: <a href="https://saltboxcustomhomes.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://saltboxcustomhomes.com/</a>&nbsp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Developing detailed drawings of custom homes, including floor plans, elevations, and construction details.</li><li>Working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to understand project requirements and translate concepts into technical drawings.</li><li>Ensuring that all drawings comply with relevant building codes and regulations.</li><li>Proficiently using CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit) to produce accurate and high-quality drawings.</li><li>Incorporating feedback and making revisions to drawings as necessary throughout the design and construction process.</li><li>Keeping comprehensive records of all drawings and revisions to ensure accuracy and accountability.</li><li>Communicating effectively with the construction team to address any issues or questions related to the drawings.</li><li>Keeping abreast of industry trends, new CAD technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality.</li><li>Identifying and resolving design-related problems or discrepancies during the construction phase.</li><li>Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>A degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in CAD drafting, preferably in the construction or architectural industry (+3 years).</li><li>A strong portfolio showcasing previous CAD drafting work, particularly related to residential construction or custom home design.</li><li>Extensive experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.</li><li>Ability to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of architectural designs, floor plans, and construction documents.</li><li>Understanding of local and national building codes and regulations.</li><li>Familiarity with construction industry standards and best practices.</li><li>Knowledge of architectural design principles and construction techniques.</li><li>Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.</li><li>Willingness to learn new software and technologies as they are adopted in the industry.</li><li>Ability to adapt to evolving design and construction practices.</li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drawings and specifications.</li><li>Ability to identify and resolve potential design issues.</li><li>Good communication skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.</li><li>Aptitude for solving design and technical problems.</li><li>Ability to adapt to changes and find creative solutions.</li></ul>Compensation and benefits:<ul><li>Full Time</li><li>Starting salary at $30.00 per hour, depending on experience&nbsp;</li><li>2 Weeks paid vacation with increase of 1 day per year with a capped paid vacation of 3 weeks</li><li>Christmas bonus</li><li>Health Care</li><li>401k</li></ul>
